Taking It to the Streets

A monthly ministry that prepares and serves meals for homeless men, women and children in San Antonio. Meet every third Saturday of the month, teams from SCUMC prepare a meal in the morning at 9:00am, and then serve the meal in the evening from 5:30 to 8:30 in downtown San Antonio.

Days for Girls Ministry

Sews and assembles washable feminine hygiene kits for girls in
developing countries. We meet at the church on the fourth Thursday of the month from 9:30am - noon. Sewing and non-sewing help needed. Contact Jill Klop.

Prayer Quilt Ministry

Is a group of volunteers who meet together once a month to make lap size quilts which are given to people confronting serious illness or personal turmoil. Prayer quilts remind the recipient that God is there in the midst of their struggles, and that many people are praying for them. Quilts for Kids

SCUMC participates in the International Quilts for Kids program.  All quilts are given locally to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at San Antonio Children’s Hospital.  Meetings are held at SCUMC on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month from 9:30 AM to 1PM.  Bring your sewing machine, but all materials for quilts are provided.  All skill levels are welcomed.  SCUMC’s Quilts for Kids donates approximately 45 infant quilts every 3-4 months.  To be a part of this ministry, contact Debi Korinchock at debikorin@gmail.com for more information

Meals on Wheels

Spring Creek volunteers deliver meals for Meals on Wheels in the Boerne area on Monday mornings. Takes about 90 minutes and people drive in pairs about one time a month. Contact information is Janette Reamer.
