Worship Planning Committee Job Description
The Worship Planning
Committee brings together volunteers who work with the pastors and staff to
plan and coordinate all worship service elements. Our goal is to provide a
meaningful experience and convey to all who attend, whether in person or
online, the excitement we feel about a church growing in faith and serving God. Holli Brunsman invites you to explore
ways you can share your time and your talents in this effort.

Collaborate with team members and church staff in creative ideas to enhance the worship experience based on sermon topics and diversity of styles and leadership
Touch base with team members and ushers to assure readiness for worship services
For holidays, collaborate with the Hospitality and Welcoming teams to schedule greeters, ushers, and servers and oversee the set-up and resetting of chairs in the sanctuary or for outdoor services
Attend monthly Church Council meetings and submit reports
Sanctuary Decoration: These talented people collaborate with the worship planning team and staff in creative ideas to decorate the communion table and sanctuary areas to coordinate with sermon topics, church holidays, seasons, etc. People with decorating skills, artistic abilities, or craft skills are welcome additions to this team. Contact Kathy Pemberton or Nancy Simdorn.
Scripture Readers: Robbie Lloyd coordinates readers for Sunday morning services. She builds a monthly schedule and sends reminders and copies of the reading. We invite people of any age to become readers by contacting Robbie.
Ushers: Ushers help late arrivals easily find seating, especially for large services (Christmas Eve, Easter). They direct the congregation during communion and collect the offering. Anyone of any age can become an usher by contacting Mike Toti or Doug Toepperwein.
Audio/Video: These skilled people collaborate with the planning committee, pastors, and staff to manage the audio and video content that enhances each service. They monitor the cameras, microphones, and screen content, including broadcasting our online worship. If you have technical abilities along these lines, you are invited to learn more by contacting Al Bondanza
Music: Anthony Bazzani is our music director. He works with the pastor to select music that enhances the theme of each service, recruits musicians and vocalists, and works closely with the AV director to enrich every service. Anthony is always happy to find new musical talent – give him a call at 830-981-8331.
Communion Coordinator: The Coordinator recruits people who buy bread and juice for communion, schedules a diversity of communion servers, and makes sure volunteers are available to set up and clean the communion table. If you are interested in helping with these important tasks on a rotating basis, please contact Holli Brunsman.
Seat Coordinators: As needed, these people are responsible for rearranging seating in the sanctuary and ensuring adequate seating is available for special services. If you can help move and carry chairs occasionally, contact Holli Brunsman.
