Men’s Ministry
Men’s Ministry Chairman Job Description
Spring Creek Men’s Ministry
works to meet men where they are in their spiritual lives and offers them a
framework to move forward in their spiritual journey. I invite you to join us
if you are seeking to know Jesus Christ better. We also have opportunities for
good Christian fellowship and opportunities to serve with a great group of men.
Responsibilities
of the Chairman:
Work in collaboration with pastors and staff to develop programs to provide spiritual growth opportunities to men of all ages. Develop and support opportunities for men to be in service in the community. Work with leaders of other ministries to develop and support ways for men to be involved in the total ministry of the church. Keep men of the church informed about men’s activities and occasions for service and spiritual growth. Attend monthly Church Council meetings and report on the ministry’s status
Men's Bible Study: Topics vary by book but always center
around scripture and our roles as Christians. NO EXPERIENCE OR PRIOR KNOWLEDGE
NEEDED! We meet every Wednesday evening at 6:30 in the Fellowship Building on the
church campus.
Men’s Retreat: A weekend getaway that occurs every Spring and provides an opportunity for spiritual growth.
Holy Smokers: Like
to fire up that grill? Then you will love being part of this group of men who
gather at Spring Creek to grill up “good eats” for church
fellowship events or mission events.
Men’s Breakfast: Our
monthly Men’s Breakfast meets at 7:00 a.m. on the 1st Friday of the
month at Las Palapas Restaurant in Leon Springs. We'd be happy to have you join us for
fellowship, a devotional, and some discussion (and a delicious breakfast)! No
reservation is necessary.
Home Disciples: This group of men helps those who need home repair, yard work, or the
like. Perhaps the individual has become sick, or recently had a baby, or is
elderly. Whatever the reason, Home Disciples are there to help.
Thanksgiving Turkey Fry: On the day before Thanksgiving, we join the
Christian Men of Boerne at the Kendall Country Fairgrounds to fry dozens of
turkeys. Then we pack Thanksgiving food boxes for local people who might
otherwise not have a Thanksgiving dinner. While we’re in service we also have a
great time, so be a part of this important mission.
