Help a child dive into the transformation of reading!
June 4th - July 24th / Monday - Thursday 10:00 -11:30am
Volunteers support children in 1st - 5th grade as they read books and grow their love of literacy.
During Reading Buddy sessions, volunteers listen to children read, ask questions, and offer strategies for reading help. Volunteers and the PT staff work to help children maintain or improve their reading level and love of literacy throughout the summer.
Volunteer Requirements:
All volunteers 18+ must complete a background check.
High school volunteers (ages 15+ or those who have completed freshman year) can participate independently.
Volunteers under 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
A one-time online training is required before the first volunteer session.
