Attitude of Gratitude

Like the Israelites, we need many things, but despite God's generous provision, we want more, don't we? How many of us here have everything that we need?
I mean, you’ve got food in your pantry, you’ve got clothes on your back, you probably have a house to live in, maybe a few dollars in the bank account.
God has provided many blessings for us in our lives, and we take this for granted every day.

Think about the Israelite people gazing out over the wilderness in front of them. They only saw what they didn't have and not what God had already done. He protected them from plagues and illness, and He protected their firstborn children. He saved them from Pharaoh's army.

How often does God provide for us? And we just push it to the wayside.  We tend to think that that was our doing. We forget that we were prisoners to ourfears, wants, and desires.
Just like the Israelite people forgetting what God had already done for them.

We should immediately recognize the Israelites within ourselves. We live in a world where we don’t understand what we need and want. Because there's a difference between what we need and what we want. I think it's because we have a distorted view of reality. It's like we are looking into a warped mirror and the image of what we want becomes what we need versus what God provides for us every day.
