Abundance

Abundance

Jesus gave us two commandments that sum up all of God's commandments. The first one is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. The second one is like it: love your neighbor as yourself. We believe that Jesus refers to neighbor as all people. However, at the very least, neighbor means the people who are your actual neighbors. If we cannot love our actual neighbors, then we are not really loving our neighbor.

We become people who see the Kingdom of God coming together. I'll tell you about my journey of neighboring. This has been the greatest joy for me - seeing that God's promises of providing are true. And that they don't start or stop with me or church people. But God's blessings are extended and poured out in abundance. In the world, just like how rain falls on the just and the unjust, it collects into the Edwards Aquifer and we all drink from it. This is how God blesses the world. And all of us are invited to both contribute and discover what God has provided. Would you be a part of this adventure? To in some ways transform the way you think about church. And about God's grace. May it give you life? May it give you joy.

If you want to be a part of prioritizing neighboring at Spring Creek in this congregation, I hope that you'll reach out to me because there are a few things in the works that I would like to include you in.
